FOCUS #4: ‘GIVE / VOLUNTEER’
This can include giving your time to, or sharing knowledge with, someone you feel is deserving.
Other examples include:
– volunteering your time at weekends/evenings in the local community
– doing things for family/friends
– taking on a voluntary role at a local club
– helping out a neighbour
In my experience overdoing this area of wellbeing can be a key factor of overwhelm … I’ve been there myself, and many of my clients are in a similar position.
If this sounds like you – a strength that you may be overdoing here is caring about others, or perhaps you’re a great mentor and enjoy sharing your wisdom with others. Whatever the reason, make sure your ‘give/volunteer’ strength is kept in check and you’re not giving too many hours to this area.
